Hong Kong Bach Choir

One of the city's longest-established choirs, the Hong Kong Bach Choir is a year-round, multinational ensemble with more than 80 members. Auditions are held in January or September respectively. Basic requirements to join are moderate sight-reading ability and prior choral-singing experience. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening, September-June, in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Hong Kong Children's Choir

HKCC is the biggest choir in the world with more than 5,000 boys and girls receiving choral, dancing, arts and craft training. Each year, touring groups are invited to give performances overseas. After performing in more than 24 countries, the HKCC has an international reputation as one of the best children's choirs in the world. It accepts applicants from four years old. Choirs are divided into elementary, junior, intermediate and senior levels. Rehearsals are held on weekday afternoons and weekends.

Hong Kong Treble Choirs' Association

The Treble Choirs' Association aims to promote youth singing and music education in Hong Kong, as well as organizing international choral events and exchange. It is linked to Hong Kong Treble Choirs' Ltd (see Singing Lessons).

Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir

Although its founders were Welsh, today not many of the choir's 70-plus members can claim Welsh roots. While all have Welsh affinity most are a diverse bunch of expats from 12 countries and local Chinese members. Its repertoire includes many popular Welsh-language songs. Kassia Women's Choir

Kassia Women's Choir has performed in many of Hong Kong's most prestigious venues, including the Cultural Centre, the Academy for Performing Arts, the Arts Centre, and City Hall. Its 85 or so members rehearse on Wednesday evenings at St. John's Cathedral in Central. Kassia also has a youth choir, a men's chorus and a children's choir.

Pro-Musica Society Of Hong Kong

Pro-Musica was founded in 1970 with an aim to introduce substantial choral works by famous composers. The choir performs frequently at district level to promote choral performing arts to the public. It welcomes choral music lovers. The choir gets together ususally every Wednesday evening. Audition required.

Tsang Fook Piano

Tsang Fook's children's choir accepts members from four to 14 years old. Rehearsals are held on Saturday afternoons, with auditions for new members before every rehearsal (costs $50). A monthly membership fee costs $450.
