Mother's Choice is a charity that works with women facing crisis pregnancies, provides homes for babies and children placed in its care, finds foster homes and works with the Social Welfare Department and two overseas agencies to find adoptive homes.

The Adoption Unit finds suitable and permanent homes for children who have lost their parents through death or desertion and for illegitimate children whose parents are unable to maintain them. Assessment on the suitability of adoption applicants is provided by the Adoption Unit free of charge. A fee is charged to the successful applicants for acting as guardian ad litem for the prospective adoptive child in adoption proceedings.
