Aberdeen Nature Trail

Aberdeen Nature Trail follows the footpath on the east side of the Lower Aberdeen Reservoir. It's a pleasant walk with a variety of interesting plant and animal life.

Bride'S Pool Nature Trail

Located on the northwest side of Plover Cove Reservoir, near the mouth of the Bride's Pool Stream. The trail crosses the stream and offers a panoramic view of the distant mountains.

Eagle'S Nest Nature Trail

This circular footpath is situated near Shek Lei Pui Reservoir. It's a pleasant walk with magnificent views of rural and urban landscapes.

Hung Mui Kuk Nature Trail

Many interesting plants can be found along this trail, including lichen (a pollution indicator) and Kam Kau Mau, believed to have medicinal value. Some aspects of woodland ecology and the functions of trees are easy to see along the trail. You will also get a good view of the Sha Tin and Amah Rock.

Ma Shi Chau Nature Trail

The Ma Shi Chau Special Area comprises four islands in Tolo Harbor. It's a geologically interesting area, and there are plenty of interpretative signposts to help you understand what you're looking at, perhaps a wave-cut platforms, tombolo (a sand bank linking two islands) or even fool's gold. And if rocks don't do it for you, look out for fossils, coral, and assorted marine life.

Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail

This trail offers exceptional panoramic views of the Plover Cove Reservoir and the Pat Sin mountains. Recommended only for experienced walkers.

Pineapple Dam Nature Trail

Just 0.9km long, this easy trail runs along the western edge of the Shing Mun Reservoir - look out for monkeys. Loop back to the starting point along the Shing Mun Reservoir Road.

Tai Lam Nature Trail

This is a 10km trail that takes about 4 hours to complete, and has 21 points of interest along the way, each with its own interpretative signpost. You'll see a variety of plant and animal life, as well as information about sustainable forestry and biodiversity.

Tai Po Kau Nature Trail

One of the most heavily forested areas in Hong Kong, there are several tracks of varying lengths as well as a fairly short nature trail on a northwestern slope. The trail introduces different aspects of woodland ecology.

Tai Tong Nature Trail

Tai Tong Nature Trail has some interpretative signposts to highlight interesting geographical and floral features. The trail passes through the Nam Hang Pai old village and commands a panoramic view of the Yuen Long plain.
