This center runs a Riding Skill Academy that provides lessons for all abilities, from beginner to advanced, for one to two students (horse hire fee plus instructor fee) or four to six students. This is one of the few facilities in Hong Kong to offer horseback archery, trekking, Polocrosse and livery (with the chance to own horses and ride up to six days a week). The 150,000 sqft center has three riding paddocks for training and equestrian shows, two barbecue fields that can accommodate more than 500 people and a tree house. Members can take horses out on mountain trails, and even ride to restaurants. Free parking.

Lo Wu Saddle Club

Situated in a quiet spot in the hills close to the border with Shenzhen and yet only ten minutes from Sheung Shui MTR station or thirty five minutes drive from Central, Lo Wu Saddle Club is a well respected member of Hong Kong's equestrian community and is fully approved by the prestigious British Horse Society. With no membership requirements and over forty horses and ponies and a team of experienced local and expat instructors, it offers top quality instruction and support for beginners and pleasure riders through to those who want to compete in dressage, show jumping and eventing.

Pokfulam Public Riding School

Managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this school offers one-hour adult classes and 45-minute lessons for children ages 6-14. Classes are small, with no more than six riders. Students should bring their own equipment, including helmet, breeches, boots, whip and gloves. English-speaking instructors are available. The waiting list for a weekend beginner class is up to three years long.

Tai Tong Lychee Valley Riding Club

Tuen Mun Public Riding School is the biggest public facility in Hong Kong, with stables for 60 horses and ponies, a horse paddock and two pony paddocks. The school offers a wide variety of activities, including group classes, livery sessions and riding competitions. Weekend beginner classes have a waiting list of up to six months.
