Lion Rock

Lion Rock is thought to be Hong Kong's best mountain crag and is 250 feet at its tallest point. The majority of routes here are two to three pitches long and have bolt protection. These routes have been given British Trad Grades.

Monkey Buttress, Braemar Hill

The crag offers single pitch trad and sport routes. However, the rock seems to weaken considerably when wet, so it's advisable to avoid the crag after prolonged spells of wet weather.

Shek O

Once one of Hong Kong's foremost climbing areas but now somewhat of a backwater, the crags of Shek O offer some enjoyable sport climbs. The crags are all located towards the small headland of Ti Tau Chau, approximately 10 minutes east of the main village.

Hong Kong's biggest outdoor climbing wall stands 18m high and 16m wide with more than 15 routes of varying degrees of difficulty. All climbers are required to take a simple assessment before use.
