Kei Ling Wakeboard Club offers classes in English and Cantonese taught by four instructors certified by the Hong Kong Waterski Association. Groups of six can venture out on speedboats with an outboard engine while groups of nine can be carried out in boats with inboard engines. All equipment provided. Waterskiing and wakeboarding available.

Sand-Bar Corner's fetching website is as laid-back and professional as their staff. With a cozy stretch of beach, a snack bar, and a variety of water sports to indulge in, it's the perfect place to play hooky. Their website lists a dizzying number of combination packages: you can wakeboard and banana boat, wakeboard and lounge in an inner tube... And of course you can just simply wakeboard.

The maxim try before you buy applies to wakeboards at Tai Tam Wakeboarding Center. Try any wakeboard you like for a nominal fee (not including wakeboarding fee), and have it refunded right back should you buy that wakeboard. The center also offers instructional wakeboarding and such fun events as Girls Wednesday Out.

Friendly instructors Jo and Ben teach classes in a mixture of Cantonese and English. A thorough beginners course in all things wakeboarding is comprised of six sessions of 2 hours per session. Go over wakeboard theory in the first two classes, then take to the waves in the last four. There are four students to a class. All equipment is provided, and Wakeben offers both inboard and outboard boats. Check the website for directions.
