Join scheduled windsurfing classes or book flexible private sessions for one-five people. Usually considered an adult-oriented sport, Chong Hing has classes for children aged 8-13, as well as a two-day junior beginners' course for teenagers aged 14 and up at very reasonable rates. Private lessons should be arranged 1-2 weeks in advance. After you've completed the course and gained a certificate, you can hire windsurfers at reasonable rates from any LCSD water sports center.

Gotta love that sea breeze. Hi Wind Lover offers all sorts of water sports at Stanley, including windsurfing, kayak tours, wakeboarding equipment rental and training. Flexible individual training is available: choose between a three-hour course or a two-day course which involves two four-hour sessions. If you just want to dabble in the wind and waves for a while, there's also a one-hour option. Weekends are often booked up. Give one to two days' notice should you wish to arrange a session.

This friendly center offers one-day courses (9:30am-4pm) for groups of 3-8 adults or children, leading to the Windsurfing Association Hong Kong certificate. English-speaking coaches are available on request. Once you've mastered the technique, you can hire windsurfers by the hour or the day. Also rents kayaks.
