Flow

Guidebooks

Primarily a secondhand bookshop, this somewhat chaotic store stocks a good selection of travel novels and outdated travel guides. It's a useful resource for researching a destination before stumping up for a plane ticket. You can also pick up something cheap, cheesy and outrageously trashy for long days on the beach.

The mother of all English-language bookstores in Hong Kong, Swindon knows its customers well. Its travel guide selection has been culled into a useful range of Luxe City Guides, Dorling Kindersley and Lonely Planet. Great place for paperbacks and trashy magazines. Slap on the sunscreen and crack open a thriller.
