For a little inspiration, have a look through its pamphlet of pictures of previous custom-made cakes at its cafe, while sipping a cappuccino, of course. Usually for weddings, Cova makes buttercream or dark fruitcakes with each tier 9 to 27 inches in diameter. Can also provide a dummy cake, popular for photographs in Hong Kong. Yes, you buy your groceries there. But anyone who's ever walked past the glass-confined confectionery in the bakery aisle will have seen Great's beautiful baked morsels. Great creates wedding cakes to your specifications, but based on templates of cakes that they have created in the past, including tiered wedding cakes, sponge or double fudge chocolate cake. Orders should be made at least a week in advance. Can also supply bride and groom figures but needs at least a week's notice.

But restrain yourself from going all out, as you'll be picking up the cake yourself - Island Gourmet does not deliver.
