Located just off Tolo Harbour, Garden Farm offers a range of practice facilities in tranquil surroundings. As well as a 93 driving bays, there are separate natural-grass areas for practicing chipping, putting, teeing-off and even 10 sand bunkers. There's also a kids' putting area, children's playground and barbecue area. Free parking and membership.

Managed by the LCSD, this was the first public driving range in Hong Kong. Covering an area of 48,500 square meters, it has a two-storey driving range with 91 bays, practice greens and bunker facilities, as well as a pro shop, restaurant, playground, free parking and other facilities. Also offers golf training courses at different levels. Prices are incredibly reasonable; book at 2606-2111, 2922-8008, 2927-8080, or online at www.esd.gov.hk. It's part of the Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre, which also includes the Public Riding School, Adventure Park and Archery Range-Gateball Court.

A recreational park on the site of the former Whitehead Refugee Camp, it has a lovely location on Tolo Harbour, overlooking Ma On Shan, Plover Cove Reservoir and Pat Sin Leng. It has 160 spacious, real grass chipping bays, and regular training courses for golfers of all abilities, from beginner to advanced. Other facilities include a barbecue area and a recreational facility with snooker, bicycle rental, shrimp fishing and an open ground for kite flying.
